Access Control      
 
  Navigating in the access control module  
  Module and functional access rights are allocated to users in the access control module. Only users with User Access: read, update or management can access this module.  
  Select User Access from the Administration menu
 
  In access control, new access groups can be created. The following functions are available from access groups:
  • General access restrictions can be applied (including room numbers displayed on the calendar)
  • Module (and functional) restrictions i.e. what modules can users have access to and what are their functional rights in each module
  • Property and accommodation display i.e. what properties and accommodation units can the user see and book
  • Users i.e. add or remove users linked to an access group
 
   
 
  • Click the edit button to edit the record (only users with Property: update and management access can edit)
  • Additional functions available in edit mode include:
  •  Allocate Bank  Refer to Billing Indicator
     Linked Address  Refer to Linked Address
     Add telephone numbers  Refer to Telephone Directory
 
  • To save changes, click the Save button on the toolbar
  • On allocation of a bank from the Allocate Bank pop-up and on creating a linked address, the record is saved

 
  • To save changes and close the property window, click the Save and Close toolbar button
 
  • To delete a unit, click the Delete button (this is only available on the Details tab)
    • If the unit and its children have not been allocated in the system (i.e. applied to a reservation), the window is closed and the unit will be removed from the property tree
    • If the unit (or one of its children) have been allocated in the system (i.e. applied to a reservation), the unit will be displayed as 'inactive'. This means that it will not be available in future, but will be kept on the system for reporting and archiving
      • An inactive unit is displayed in italics on the property tree
      • To return an inactive unit to active, from the Property-Details window change the inactive status to active from the details form (this indicator is only visible on inactive records)
 
  • Click Exit to close the window, if changes have been made the Save Changes window will open
