Customisation      
 
  Navigating in the Customisation tool  
  Users with access rights to Client Customisation: Update and Management can access the customisation module.  
  Select Customisation from the Administration-System Setup menu
 
  The customisation module has five sections, to edit the text related to each section, click the Edit Text button to the right of the respective field.  
   
  Clicking the Edit button will open the customisation pop-up:  
   
  Editing text and adding text enhancements (such as colours, alignment, bullets etc) operates the same as in standard word processing applications such as Microsoft Word®.

Some of the options available include:

 
   Function  Result  Tip
   Change font
  • To apply a font change to existing text, remember to select the text before applying the change (select the text by clicking and dragging over the respective text)
  • The fonts available are fonts that are common on internet browsers, the fonts listed here are not connected to the standard Windows® fonts setup in Windows®
   Font size
  • To apply a font size to existing text, remember to select the text before applying the change (select the text by clicking and dragging over the respective text)
   Bold, Italic and Underline
  • To apply the enhancement to existing text, first remember to select the text before applying the enhancement
   Paragraph justification
  • Left will left-align text (this is the default alignment), centre will centre justify and right will right-align
  • To apply the enhancement to existing text, first remember to select the text before applying the enhancement
   Auto-numbering and bullets
  • This will apply the appropriate bullets or automatic numbering to paragraphs - where the enter key is pressed, a new bullet/number is applied to a paragraph
  • To stop applying the auto-numbering/bullets, click the button off on a new row
   Increase and decrease indent
  • This operation will shift a paragraph a default distance from or toward the set margin
   Text colour
  • Remember to select existing text and then set the text colour to apply text colour to existing text
   Background colour
  • This will set the background colour of text (i.e. not the window colour), for example the text below is black and the background colour on some of the text is set to green:

  • To apply background colour - select the word/paragraph and then apply the required background colour
   Horizontal line
  • Ensure your cursor is first positioned where you want to insert the horizontal line
   Web link
  • This enables users to enter a web address, the text becomes a link which means that clicking the text will open a new blank window and link the user to the inserted website
  • Clicking this button opens a dialog box with link options:

  •  Type Refers to the type of link being inserted, the two common types used are:
    1. http: this refers to a website
    2. mailto: this refers to inserting an email link
    URL This is the actual website or email address. Selecting the type will pre-populate this area

    OK Click OK to insert the respective link

   Insert picture
  • This option is not available in this version
   Insert table
  • This will enter a basic table with limited functionality
  • Editions can be made by selecting the table and changing the width (this will change all columns evenly)
  • To delete the table, select the table (by clicking the table border) and press the delete key
   View HTML
  • This will enable users to toggle between html and WYSIWYG display
  • This is for users who understand html (web design language) and can edit using html
   Enlarge editor
  • This will open the editor in a new, larger window where editing is easier
