ResrequestCONNECT enables offline reservation management from a central reservation
office. System updates are transferred to the internet when required,
enabling internet users such as agents, tour operators and the general
public to access accommodation availability information and submit reservation
requests. ResrequestCONNECT is the minimum Resrequest solution required for a
resort’s availability to be shown on Resrequest-powered portals and
travel gateways.
Modules included in ResrequestCONNECT:
- Set-up and maintenance of business units, properties and accommodation
types including maintenance of property descriptions and tariff information
for display on the availability calendar and the Resrequest Home Page
- Set-up and maintenance of contact details, relationship and user
access rights for internal system users (internal users are users who
work for the system owner, usually accessing the system from the reservations
office) and external system users (external users are users accessing
the system from the internet such as registered agents, tour operators
and the general public)
- The import and/or capture of reservation data from existing systems
to ResrequestCONNECT
- Client front-end customisation and setup of marketing information
such as the company logo, specials or general information
- Occupancy calendar summaries (based on the user’s access rights)
showing reservations filtered by date range, property, status and agent.
- Internet hosting in the USA (hosted by Rackspace) and in South Africa
(hosted by Internet Solutions)
- The ability for registered agents, tour operators and the public
to view controlled accommodation availability information and to create
and submit multi-itinerary reservation requests via a hosted mail server
- Registered external users can login and track their reservations
- Audit trails indicating registered users who have accessed Resrequest
- Internal user access to the availability calendar, reservation details,
contact and reporting information
- Step-by-step capture, maintenance and tracking of reservations by
internal users. Reservation details include:- reservation name and number
(for reservation tracking and reference), agent/contact allocated to
the reservation, itinerary summary (resorts/properties, accommodation
types, number of units requested, arrival and departure dates) and reservation
status. When a reservation is edited, the system rechecks availability
and confirms or lists reservation over-allocations. ResrequestCONNECT can
automate an e-mail to the contact person regarding changes on a reservation
