Resrequest runs on Internet Explorer and is designed with an easy-to-use front-end
and step-by-step wizards. The simple design and online help features ensure
that anyone, from internal users to external users such as agents and
tour operators, can quickly and easily check availability, calculate costs,
request/create reservations, and generate confirmation and invoicing documentation
from ResrequestPRO.
Functionality available in ResrequestPRO includes:
- Property and accommodation rates and description setup and maintenance.
- Central contact maintenance for guest, transporter, tour operator
and agent information (including contact details such as address, telephone
numbers, notes and, where applicable, commissions).
- Access to multi-property availability information by external users
(such as agents, tour operators and the public) via the internet.
- Information can be managed in multiple locations (offline and online).
The data is updated to all operational environments via a high-speed
internet synchronisation process as often as required.
- Central system administration of access rights for all system users.
- An availability calendar enables easy accommodation availability
checking by combinations of date range, reservation status (i.e. confirmed
and provisional) and preferred resorts/properties.
- Multi-item reservations can be created by clicking required dates
on the availability calendar and following a wizard with prompt questions
which lead a user through the reservation process automatically providing
a quotation, provisional confirmation and a proforma invoice.
- Reservation rates are automatically calculated, taking into consideration
number of guests, reservation dates and the accommodation type. Costs
can be calculated by basing the charge on the number of people or the
number of accommodation units.
- Editing of reservation details from a central form. An automatic
audit trail records details of any changes made, for example the user
and date and time of the amendment.
- Management of guest naming lists can be built up at any stage of
the reservation process and can include contact details and special
notes. Guest names are stored in the central contact database from where
they can be re-allocated to future reservations.
- Management and capture of guest travel and transfer details. Where
applicable, costs for this service can be quickly and easily added to
the reservation for invoicing.
- Generation of invoices in any authorised currency. Reservations include
a payment history option allowing the client to track outstanding payments.
- Production of daily reports of guest arrivals, guest departures and
room allocations (with flagging of guest special requests).
- The ability to track and invoice extras incurred at the resort. Where
commissions are payable, these extras can be flagged for payment to
agents or tour operators.
- The occupancy calendar enables quick and easy analysis of past, current
and future reservations. This calendar shows vital information to assist
in proactively managing occupancy levels and maximising revenues.
- Reports showing historical client and agent statistical information.
- ResrequestCONNECT and ResrequestPRO enable availability information to be
shown on Resrequest-powered travel gateways which can be accessed by the
public or by agents registered agents. This means that users (public
or registered) can view multi-resort information on one availability
calendar and capture a cross-resort reservation from the calendar. Depending
on the Resrequest system owner, reservation requests can be recorded automatically
or sent via an e-mail request. Users can log onto the gateway and track
the status of each leg of their itinerary.
