   Overview
  • Payment structures for reservations can be calculated by allocating a payment plan to a reservation
  • Default payment plans are allocated to system users
  • Different payment plans can be allocated to users by internal consultants
  • Once a payment plan is allocated is can be changed
  • Payment plan rules apply, for example: where the agent is on a payment plan that a deposit must be made 30 days in advance
  • A payment plan can be deleted
 
   Payment Rules
  • System-generated payment plan rules apply for unique scenarios, for example: where the agent is on a payment plan that a deposit must be made 30 days in advance, but the reservation is booked less then 30 days - the payment plan needs to refer to certain rules to establish the new payment plan. Additional payment rules include:
    • If a payment plan is allocated and any payment items generated are in the past, the 'past' payment items are consolidated and applied to the current date

  • This button opens the 'Payment Plan' window where the user can define the payment plan
 
   
 Overview
  • The payment plan can be made of any number of payment items, the total percent that can be allocated to a payment plan is equal to 100
  • The system calculates the percentage outstanding when a payment item is saved
  • Payments items are added using the toolbars at the top of the screen *

 Base date
  • Payment items are defined in relation to a 'base date', the base date determines what the offset number of days is in relation to
  • The base dates are system-generated and include:
    • Reservation date: the date the reservation was first created
    • Arrival date: the arrival date of the first itinerary item
    • Departure date: the departure date of the last itinerary item
 Offset no. of days
  • This is the number of days to be offset against the selected base date to calculate the payment due date
  • This can be negative (prior), zero or positive (following).
 Percent
  • The percentage of the reservation amount to be paid on the payment due date
