Working with the Linked Address

Some contacts have the same address details. To prevent tedious retyping, a contact can have an existing address linked to it, for example: "Sally" works for the agent "Rennies Travel", in Sally's case her record can have the linked address set as Rennies Travel. To create a Linked Address click the Select Linked Address button on the main contact form:

Click on the contact with the source address (e.g. Rennies Travel) from the pop-up.

To search for an existing contact from the pop-up, enter the contact's lastname or organisation name in the search field at the top of the window and click the Go button to search for matches.

Wildcards can be used to assist in searches, for example A* (the letter A and an asterisk) entered in the Organisation/Last Name field will return matches on all contacts listed with the organisation or last name starting with the letter A, for example ABC COMPANY, ANDREWS etc.

The linked address will be displayed for the current contact but can only be edited on the source contact record.

Once a Linked Address is applied, the button changes to Remove Linked Address, click this button to clear the Linked Address and apply a new linked address or enter a custom address for a contact.
