Description of a Contact Role

Contacts are assigned a contact role to identify their function in the system, for example: a contact can be allocated the role of ‘guest’. For ResrequestCONNECT contact roles available are:

User		A user is a contact recorded in the system who is allocated a username and password. This means they are able to logon to the system. Only the system administrator can set-up a contact as a user.
Agent		An agent is a contact recorded in the system (usually an organisation such as Rennies Travel Agency). Agents are usually eligible for commission on a reservation and can have users linked to them (for example: Sally is linked to Rennies Travel as an employee).
