Linking Users to an Agent

An agent is usually an organisation, for example Rennies Travel. An agent can have users linked to it to track business completed by users from the agency. There are two ways to create this link:

  • Individual contacts can be created as users and then linked to an agent from the contact form (by clicking on the Add Link button)
  • Users can be created, linked and removed from the agent role window.

Linking Users to an Agent from the Agent window

From the Agent window click the Setup Users button (you need to be in edit-mode to access the Setup Users button (click the Edit button on the toolbar to revert to edit-mode).



  If a contact has been used as an agent (for example a contact is allocated to a reservation as the contact agent) when the role is removed, the role is marked as inactive, this means that the agent information will be retained for audit tracking and reporting, but will not appear as an agent from the point it has that agent role removed.
