Code Tables

For security reasons, Resrequest operates on Internet Explorer version 5.5 (or later) and uses standard internet and desktop navigation functionality.
For a free copy of Internet Explorer, visit: www.resrequest.com/downloads.html
Some standard navigation concepts include:

  • Main menu
  • Toolbar
  • Pop-up windows: Pop-up windows enable users to change settings or carry out functions.
  • Scrolling: Scrolling enables users to see more information that cannot fit onto their screen in one view. Resrequest makes use of the internet browser's vertical scrollbar and its own scrollbars in the pop-up windows.
  • Tabbing: To move the cursor from one field to another use the tab key on the keyboard. To return to a previous field press the tab and shift key simultaneously.
  • Buttons: Resrequest uses buttons to carry out a function or navigation to a new page.
  • Hyperlinks: Hyperlinks in Resrequest usually appear as coloured or underlined text, a graphic or a button. When a hyperlink is clicked, you are moved to a new screen or a function is carried out. Remember that (although Resrequest is designed as a functional desktop application) navigating from one form to another is the same as if you were browsing the internet.
  • Save Changes: When the user makes any updates or edits on a screen and selects to go to a different screen or module, Resrequest will open a Save Changes pop-up where the user can select to update or ignore changes before proceeding to the next screen or cancel the action.
