Toolbar

The toolbar contain buttons with images which either act as a shortcut somewhere within the system or carry out a function such as save or print.



Tools available on the standard toolbar include (users can access tools available according to their system access rights):

 Main menu Description

 New

New opens a blank form which will enable a user to create a new record. The new function will open a form depending on the module the user is currently working in, for example if the user is working on a reservation new will open a new reservation form where they can capture details of a new reservation. The new button is only accessible in modules where new can be activated, for example new is not available on the calendars.

 Open Open will open the Find form. The open function will default to the Find Contact or Find Reservation form depending on the module the user is currently working in, for example if the user is working on a reservation open will open a Find Reservation form. The open button is only accessible in modules where it can be activated, for example open is not available on the calendars.

 Edit Users will be alloacted different access levels, some users will only be able to read/view information while others will be able to edit information. Users who have editing access can toggle between edit and view mode by clicking the edit icon.

 Save Use the save button to save changes to a record. Once a record is saved a change cannot be undone.

 Delete Delete will delete the entire record. Where the record has a history (i.e. it has already been applied within the system), the record is marked as 'deleted', this means that the record will still be on file (for archive purposes, but it will not be accessible in future.

 Previous
 record
When a sequence of records have been listed (for example a list of records from the Find Reservation or Find Contact form), a record is selected from the list to view the detailed information. The previous record and next record buttons will allow the user to scroll from one record to the next as per the sequence the records were listed in from the find form. Previous will scroll to the previous record and next will scroll to the next listed record.

 Back Back will return you to the last page viewed.
Note: the back button does not act as an Undo when data has been saved, it is only a navigation tool for users to return to previous pages.

 Print Print will open the Windows print dialog box with your default printer selected, from here you can print the information currently viewed on the screen.
Note: Look at the Explorer status bar for printing hints and tips.
 Copy Places a copy of the text selected onto the Windows clipboard for pasting later.
 Paste Inserts a copy of what is in the Windows clipboard into the field the cursor is positioned.
 Calendar Returns the user to the last calendar used with the last filter settings applied.
 Internet
 Window
Opens a new browser window.
 Home Show the user details visible from the home page.
 Help Opens the online Help in a new broswer window.
