To select a unit, click the radio button to the left of the
unit. Once a unit is selected, the appropriate property functions
will become accessible (note, the edit functions are only available
to users with Properties: update or management access)
Adding
a unit
To add a unit, select the parent of the unit (from where the
child will be added)
Click the Add… button (this button changes its name depending
on if a business, property or accommodation unit it selected)
in the function area:
When a business is selected the Add button in the function
area is to add a business/property. On click of the Add Property/Business
a blank property/business window opens. To create a business,
leave the Property checkbox blank – to create a property
click the Property checkbox (a tick should appear in the box)
Enter the relevant details and click Save and Close on the
pop-up toolbar. On closing the pop-up, the property/business
will be added to the tree
When a property is selected the Add button in the function
area is to add an accommodation type. On click of Add Accommodation
a blank accommodation window opens. Enter the relevant details
and click Save and Close on the pop-up toolbar. On closing
the pop-up, the accommodation will be added to the tree
When an accommodation type is selected the Add button in the
function area is to add another accommodation type to the same
parent (add an accommodation type as above)
Editing
a unit
To edit a unit, select the unit and click the Edit/View button
The unit’s details window opens, select Edit from the
toolbar - edit the record as required and click Save and Close
to save the changes and exit the pop-up
Deleting
a unit
To delete a unit, select the unit and click the Delete Selected
button
A confirmation window will open, click Yes to confirm the deletion
The property tree will be refreshed:
If the unit and its children have not been allocated in
the system (i.e. applied to a reservation), the screen will
be refreshed and the unit will be removed
If the unit (or one of its children) have been allocated
in the system (i.e. applied to a reservation), on refresh
of the property tree the unit will still be displayed, however
it is flagged as ‘inactive’. This means that it
will not be available in future, but will be kept on the system
for reporting and archiving
An inactive unit is displayed in italics on the property
tree
To return an inactive unit to active, select the unit,
click the Edit/View button and change the Inactive status
to Active from the details form (this indicator is only
visible on inactive records)
Moving
a unit up/down
Use the Move Up and Move Down functions to change the hierarchy
of the property tree (this will also change the structure displayed
on the calendars)
Select the unit to be moved (when a parent is selected, the
parent and it’s children will be moved)
Click the Move Up button (the property tree is refreshed with
the change)
Once the unit is at the top of the hierarchy, it cannot move
further
