Reservation extras are services that can be allocated to a reservation. Only internal users can allocate extra services to a reservation. Extras are allocated to a reservation from the wizard and from the Reservation > Extras tab.
The Reservation > Extras tab makes use of an extras toolbar to create, delete and edit existing extras allocated to a reservation. Only internal users with ‘Reservation: updated’ or ‘management’ access can edit and allocate extras to a reservation.
Adding an Extra:
- From the Reservation > Extras tab, click the New button on the Extras toolbar
NOTE: this toolbar is displayed under the Reservation > Extras tab.
- In the edit/new area, select a property to link the extra to:
- Allocate a service date to the extra.
- Click the Search button and select an extra from the pop-up.
- Enter the total number of units.
- If necessary enter an exchange rate (this is only necessary where the extra’s currency is different to the invoice currency).
- Ammend any other financial totals.
- Click the Save button on the Extras toolbar to clear the edit area and create the extra in the list of allocated extras (that appears below the edit/new area).
Editing an Extra:
- Select the extra from the list of generated extras below edit/new area by clicking on the respective row. This will populate the extra in the edit/new area. Go into edit mode (by clicking the Edit button on the Extras toolbar).
- In the edit/new area the property, service date and financial values can be amended. To update the changes, click Save on the Extras toolbar — this will clear the edit/new area and update the amended extra in the generated rows.
Deleting an Extra:
- Select the extra from the list of generated extras below edit/new area by clicking on the respective row. This will populate the extra in the edit/new area. Go into edit mode (by clicking the Edit button on the Extras toolbar).
- Click the Delete button on the Extras toolbar, this will delete the extra and update the extras allocated to the reservation.
