Provisional reservations are allocated a provisional expiry date (the defaults for the provisional expiry date are setup on the Defaults table). To assist in tracking and managing provisional reservations, ResRequest displays provisional reservations that have exceeded their expiry date by displaying the status in a red block – this means that the reservation has expired and is no longer being used to calculate availability. Provisional reservations that are due for expiry (i.e. will expire today), are displayed with the reservation status in orange.
In addition to displaying expired provisional reservations, a provisional expiry report is available to assist in managing and tracking provisional reservations before they expire. The provisional expiry report can be accessed by users with Provisional Report: read, update or management access.
